Waiting for Andy…

Almost 38 weeks pregnant. The apps on my phone say there is exactly 17 days left to the due date. Time has definitely gone by very fast the last couple of months and now we sit here at home anxiously waiting for our baby boy to make his arrival.

A few months back I kept thinking Christmas was so far away and anything associated with the Holiday made me think of being so close to meeting our baby. And now we’re here…Christmas only 4 days away just feels surreal. My dad is betting money on a December 24th delivery and my mom is betting on December 28th. Arturo has his money on a 2nd week of January late delivery. I hope he’s not right. lol. Hoping it’s a win between my mom and dad. We’ll see.

In the mean time I leave you with pictures of our baby’s nursery. His name is going to be Andres Arturo and we lovingly call him Andy for short. Hope you enjoy. :)

Maria P - Awwwwwww Can’t wait to meet Andy and receive him in this crazy world of ours! :) I’m hoping he is out before end of this year too!

xoxoxoxo <3 you!!

Hello after a long break from photography

I’ve been missing in action for a long time.  See, I was going to shoot all sorts of things and then I went and got pregnant. lol. Between the first trimester nausea and exhaustion and all the busy weekends around the house preparing for the upcoming baby I have simply ignored my camera.

We’re expecting our first baby, a sweet beautiful baby boy the first week of January.  January 6 is his due date but mother’s intuition tells me he’ll be here around Christmas time. I am currently 28 weeks pregnant and have exactly 82 days left to my due date.  Being pregnant has been a blessing and we’re just so excited to be parents.  Arturo is thrilled with having a boy! He always talks about how he’s going to take him on all his adventures skiing, mountain biking, and doing all sorts of Home  Depot trips. I think he’s going to be a great daddy. And of course,  I couldn’t be any more excited about our sweet baby.  Just think of all the photo opportunities!!! :)

Since the moment I found out I was pregnant back in May I went into this major nesting phase that is still here as you could imagine. I wanted to get every single project around the house done and with that the never-ending To Do list started developing. We have been very busy around here getting everything ready. We worked on the baby’s room (still in progress), managed to finish getting the guest bathroom upstairs ready too, and even went ahead and got our laundry room organized with cabinets, etc. The next project is to work on the back yard and get it somewhat presentable. Arturo has been a total trooper in getting all the heavy work done. And he’s been great all around taking care of me at all times – i’m such a lucky girl! :)

Here’s one of baby’s first pictures. We got this one about 2 weeks ago and we already think he’s the cutest baby boy in the whole wide world. :) We can’t wait to meet him.

On a different note, i’ll leave you with a very small selection of pictures from almost 2 months ago. Arturo and I took a ‘babymoon’ to Hawaii back in late August/early September. We spent a week in Maui just relaxing and enjoying the beach. It was the perfect vacation full of down time and just lounging around.  I didn’t shoot many pictures because I was busy enjoying things and really didn’t want to carry around the big camera at all times. It interfered with my belly. lol. Arturo did manage to shoot some pictures but mostly we just captured everything with the small point and shoot as well as our iPhones.

Lots of virgin pina coladas for me. :)

That’s it.  I’m hoping to pick up my camera more as the holidays approach. See you soon!

Melissa - beautiful!

Jacque Williams - la la la looooove the sun flair shot. The expression is so mesmerizing and I love the way her hair is blowing in her face and framing her eyes. Very cool.
